A motorcyclist was killed because he lost control as he tried entering a curve in Lake Elsinore and crashed, a sergeant said today. The rider of a 2014 Yamaha motorcycle was going east on Railroad Canyon Road at about 12:30 p.m. Saturday as he approached Church Street, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Steve Brosche said. The rider lost control of his bike and crashed. He was taken to a hospital where he died, Brosche said. The motorcyclist was not publicly named pending notification of relatives. Sheriff's deputies shut down one eastbound lane of Railroad Canyon Road for about six hours as the investigation was underway, Brosche said.
