TEMECULA Temecula Preparatory is competing to win a $50,000 grant for classroom technology in the Clorox Companys Power A Bright Future grant program. The school is seeking community support in order to win the nationwide voting contest. Every day through Dec. 19, at 8:59 p.m., adults and children 13 and older can visit www.vote4tps.webs.com to connect to the contest website to read more and vote once a day for Temecula Preparatory. The community can also vote once daily for Temecula Preparatory from their phones by texting 2196pbf to 95248 (standard message and data rates apply). As a public charter school, we receive less funding and are years behind other district schools in classroom technology, said TPS Campaign Coordinator Mayumi Waddy. We are the only Temecula district school in the contest and have slipped from number three in our contest category to number five out of almost 1,600 schools. We have a strong chance of winning if the residents of Temecula rally around us.
